“Our fate flows with that of rivers – and always has.” Robert Macfarlane, 2025.
‘Home to Here’ takes film footage and water from the three rivers crossed – Culm, Otter and Yarty – from studio to the Shippon Gallery near Chardstock. Moving image is combined with geological mapping data from the three upper river catchment areas to create a looped film that is reflected in a mirrored infinity box, emphasizing the importance and utter scale of river basins. This sculptural/filmic work was supported by a limited edition pigment print. The works were exhibited at the exhibition ‘Water Ways’, at the Shippon Gallery in the Blackdown Hills. I co-curated the exhibition with sculptor Dave King on behalf of BHAAM, an artists-led group.
